The Interactive Foot and Ankle disk goes even further in the quest for accuracy by using a 3D data set of MRI data taken in all three orthogonal planes. Sounds familiar? Well, if you've been paying attention it's precisely the same technique as the earlier Interactive Knee disk.
Why change a winning formula? If it aint boke, dont fix it - that's my philosophy. So, instead, we've just taken a good idea and made it better. Loads more views of the lower limb; manipulate the cross-section views to get an all-over view of the 3D model ankle joint; dozens of labelled movies showing the movement of the joint on a dissected cadaver; as well as all the usual clinical, anatomy and pathology text you'd expect from this range of award-winning disks.
(...and for those of you who really care, this time we've used jpeg images, which makes them even more realistic than ever before.)
Honestly folks, if it wasn't so good I wouldn't go on about it, but frankly, this disk is the bee's knees when it comes to medical CD-Roms. Stuffs the opposition, that's for sure. Adam? pah! I fart in your general direction; your mother was a loganberry, etc etc....
Oh well, here's a look at the finished product:
