Using the two techniques for modelling based on both MRI and CT scan data that were utilised in the preceeding two disks, the Interactive Knee disk goes even further in the quest for accuracy by using a 3D data set of MRI data taken in all three orthogonal planes.
The final model that was built was so accurate that we could now present the model itself in slices, to exactly mirror the cross-section axial, coronal and sagittal MRI data. All this means we could make images of the knee that look like this:

Add all this together with a load of animations showing surgery on the knee, including ACL and PCL reconstruction techniques, a selection of radiological, bio-mechanical and pathological material, and the usual bits for searching the disk, copying the images and printing the text, and you've got at the end probably the best CD-Rom on the human knee ever made.
